iTrust ParkShield
Park Home & Lodge Continuity Planning
Key Features of iTrust ParkShield
iTrust ParkShield is designed for park home and lodge owners who want clear arrangements in place for the future.
It brings together your wishes, professional support and a structured continuity plan so your family knows what should happen to your home and who to turn to when help is needed.
Benefits
A Clear Plan for Your Park Home
Set out how you would like your park home or lodge to be dealt with in the future, including your wishes around continued family use, retention or sale, where the relevant park arrangements allow.
Professional Support When It Matters
Professional Trustees provide continuity, administration and an established point of contact, helping your family avoid being left to work through everything alone.
Continuity After Death or Incapacity
Your planning is already organised before it is needed. If circumstances change, the existing trust and wider estate-planning arrangements provide a framework for the people responsible for dealing with your affairs.
Help With Ongoing Costs and Responsibilities
Where appropriate, funds can be set aside to help the Trustees deal with costs connected with the home, such as pitch or licence fees, insurance, utilities, maintenance, administration and future transition arrangements.
Support With the Future Sale or Transition
If the home eventually needs to be sold or dealt with, ParkShield provides professional coordination and a clear point of contact to help manage the agreed next steps.
Your Wishes Remain Clear
Your Letter of Wishes records what matters to you and gives the Trustees guidance about how you would like the arrangements handled, while allowing them to respond appropriately to the circumstances at the time.
Designed Specifically for Park Home & Lodge Owners
Park homes and lodges are different from ordinary residential property. There may be pitch agreements, licence conditions, site fees, park rules and specific requirements around occupation, succession or resale.
ParkShield is designed around those additional considerations so your wider estate planning and your park home arrangements can work together.
Residential Park Homes
Residential park homes can be subject to specific statutory rights and procedures. ParkShield works alongside those arrangements rather than replacing them.
Holiday Lodges & Holiday Homes
Holiday lodge arrangements can depend heavily on the individual park licence and operator requirements. These are reviewed as part of the planning so the correct arrangements can be put in place.

What Happens to Your Park Home or Lodge When You're Gone?
Park homes and lodges come with considerations that many families may never have dealt with before — from park agreements and ongoing fees to occupation, succession and the future sale of the home.
Our free ParkShield webinar explains what you should consider, what can happen when an owner dies or loses capacity, and how putting a clear continuity plan in place can make things simpler for the people you leave behind.

ParkShield is designed to work alongside your existing park arrangements. It does not override park rules, pitch or licence agreements, operator approval processes, site fees, resale procedures, transfer fees or commission arrangements.
Putting ParkShield in place also does not automatically give a family member the right to move into or retain your park home. Any future occupation or transfer remains subject to the rules and arrangements applying to your particular park.
Make Things Clearer for Your Family
ParkShield is about putting the arrangements in place before they are needed.
Your wishes are recorded, important information is organised and professional support is available to help deal with the practical next steps.
It means your family has a clearer starting point, an established point of contact and a structured plan for dealing with your park home or lodge when the time comes.

Contact UsFrequently Asked Questions
Do I still need a Will?
Yes. ParkShield forms part of your wider estate planning.
Your Will deals with the assets and wishes that remain within your personal estate, while your ParkShield arrangements deal with the specific planning put in place around your park home or lodge.
Does ParkShield replace my LPA?
No.
Attorneys deal with your personal affairs under your LPA. Trustees deal with property and arrangements that fall within the trust.
They perform different roles and can work alongside one another.
Will my family automatically be able to live in my park home?
No.
Any future occupation depends on the type of park, the relevant agreement, park rules and any applicable approval process.
Does ParkShield avoid probate?
ParkShield can help reduce delays around assets and arrangements already properly held within the trust, because trust property continues to be administered by the Trustees.
Assets that remain personally owned may still require probate or estate administration.
What happens if the home needs to be sold?
ParkShield can provide a clear framework and professional coordination around the next steps.
Any sale remains subject to the relevant park rules, agreement and applicable procedures.
Can I change my wishes later?
Your Letter of Wishes can be reviewed as circumstances change.
It provides guidance to the Trustees but does not override the trust deed or the park's legal and contractual arrangements.
Important information
Important information: The benefits described are general illustrations of how the relevant iTrust may operate when appropriately structured and funded. Actual legal, tax and asset-protection outcomes depend on individual circumstances, the assets involved, the terms of the trust and any supplemental instruments, effective implementation and applicable law at the relevant time. Trustee decisions remain subject to the trust deed and their legal duties. Tax treatment and protection from third-party claims cannot be guaranteed and specialist advice may be required.
ParkShield does not override park rules, pitch agreements, licence agreements, operator approval processes, resale procedures or other legal and contractual requirements applying to a particular park home or lodge. Residential and holiday park arrangements can operate differently and should be considered individually.
