Poorly administered trusts often fail. A professional trustee provides expert, consistent oversight of law, taxes, records, and fiduciary duties—ensuring timely filings, accurate accounting, proper distributions, and compliance. They offer continuity through illness, death, relocation, or family conflict, handle disputes objectively, and give clear reporting to beneficiaries. Though fee-based, they often save money long-term by preventing errors, penalties, and litigation, preserving assets and securing your legacy.

Why appoint a professional trustee?

Trusteeship in Action

After death, trusteeship typically becomes more active, requiring calm and structured administration. iTrust121 Pro delivers orderly administration and acts as a point of liaison with executors and solicitors while ensuring the trust terms are implemented in a structured manner and distributions are handled transparently.

Distribution-based fees are charged only when distributions are actually made, not on an annual basis.

Property, Business & Complex Assets

Where trusts hold property, business interests, company shares or overseas assets, additional trustee involvement may be required.

We can provide structured oversight and coordination with advisers without taking on inappropriate commercial risk or control.

What we offer as Trustees:

  • A professional trustee provides long term stability. We remain in place regardless of changes in personal circumstances, ensuring the trust continues to be managed properly over many years, even as family situations, laws, and financial conditions evolve.

  • We act impartially and in the best interests of the beneficiaries as a whole. As an independent trustee, we are not influenced by family dynamics or personal interests, helping decisions remain balanced, fair, and aligned with the purpose of the trust.

  • Trusts require careful oversight and responsible decision making. We ensure the trust is administered in line with its terms, maintain accurate records, and support clear decision making processes so the trust operates as intended.

  • A professional trustee helps safeguard trust assets from mismanagement, unnecessary risk, and external pressures. We ensure funds are handled responsibly and distributions are made in accordance with the trust’s purpose and the settlor’s wishes.

  • Trust administration involves ongoing legal and tax responsibilities. We help ensure the trust meets its regulatory and reporting obligations, keeping records up to date and managing requirements properly to reduce the risk of errors or penalties.

  • We provide clear communication and transparent administration, so beneficiaries understand how the trust is being managed and what to expect. This helps build confidence, reduce misunderstandings, and support long term trust in the process.

Our
Trustee Fees

Our trustee fees are designed to be transparent, flexible and fair. We only charge for work that has actually been undertaken and we do not operate an annual “assets under management” charging model. Most of our clients will also benefit from a low ongoing appointment fee, with additional fees charged only when specific trustee actions are required.

What
This Covers

The annual trustee appointment fee covers:

  • holding office as professional trustee

  • fiduciary responsibility and governance oversight

  • record-keeping and document management

  • compliance obligations

  • annual trust review and continuity planning

In many cases, the first year’s trustee appointment fee is included or waived as part of the iTrust setup.
